Unfortunately http://www.downnotifier.com isn’t effectively keeping my Heroku apps in memory (haven’t tried asking it to look for specific text). Also, there’s no apparent way to cancel your monitorings with this service.

Since my last comment http://downnotifier.com has fixed my complaints. I’m using it now for the same purposes as wasitup and am happy.
